Slowblow is an Icelandic musical duo consisting of Orri Jónsson and Dagur Kári Pétursson, formed in the early 1990s. Their music blends lo-fi analog tinkerings with both electronic and folksy elements. The duo began recording in the mid-1990s, releasing their debut album Quicksilver Tuna in 1994. They gained significant recognition for creating the soundtrack for the successful independent Icelandic movie Nói Albínói, directed by Pétursson. In 2004, they released the self-titled album Slowblow under Kitchen Motors, featuring vocals from Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir of Múm and Emilíana Torrini. The duo also provided the music for the film The Good Heart in 2009. Their discography includes albums such as Sirkafúsk Fousque (1996) and Nói Albínói (2004), released under labels like Smekkleysa, Kitchen Motors, and Mobile / Plug.
