Denise Marie Armande Frédérique Benoît, born September 10, 1919, in Paris, France, was a French singer and artiste lyrique. She studied violin and began her professional life playing in Parisian theater orchestras before transitioning into music and singing. Her initial steps in the music industry included performances at venues like Les Trois Baudets and L'Écluse. In 1953, she performed a tour de chant at the cabaret La Rose rouge, marking a significant milestone in her career. She released several EPs including Timoléon le jardinier / Madame Desnoix / L'âne de Saint-Cidoine / Les Imbéciles (1960) and Denise Benoît chante Brel (1960). She performed and released music throughout the 1950s and 1960s. She died on May 29, 1973.
