Iguana Tango is a Spanish rock group from Madrid formed in 1999. The ensemble originated from earlier bands known as Silver Shadow and Harén, with a founding lineup that included Joaquín Padilla, Jacobo García, and Kike Enríquez. They released their debut studio album, El nacimiento de la iguana (1999), through the label Pies Records. The group achieved wider recognition in 2003 after appearing on the television program Gran Hermano, which coincided with the release of their second studio recording, Colección pop (2003). The album featured the tracks “Olvídate de mí” (2003), “Te perdí” (2003), and “Si pudiera” (2003), which reached Number 1 on various Spanish radio charts. Their subsequent recordings include the studio albums En celo (2005), Infiel (2007), and the live album En vivo… y coleando (2008). In 2014, founding members Padilla and Mario García departed them. The current lineup consists of Jacobo García, Dani Blesa, Carlos Nebot, and Pablo Galiano. They followed these with the studio recordings Efecto dominó (2012), Hasta el final (2017), and Inmune (2021).
