Jacques Duvall describes himself as a "smuggler" of song, because he likes to stay in the shadows. For thirty years, this Belgian author and lyricist, who revealed Lio to the world, has liked to hide behind talented performers - Alain Chamfort, Bijou, Enzo Enzo or Marc Lavoine - and enjoy the success of his songs with relish, while offering himself the luxury of total freedom. For the man is a lover of bon mots and has a universe tinged with black (and Belgian) humor, which he fiercely defends. At the same time, he has been pursuing a solo career, or with the band Phantom, since 2006.
