Keith Brion, born in 1933 in Pennsylvania, is an American classical conductor and band leader. He studied music education at West Chester State University and taught in New Jersey schools while pursuing a Master's Degree in Music Education at Rutgers University. Brion played piccolo with the New Jersey Symphony and founded the North Jersey Wind Symphony. He was a band educator and music supervisor in New Jersey public schools before serving as Director of Bands at Yale University, leading performances at venues such as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. In 1979, Brion established the New Sousa Band, dedicated to performing the music of John Philip Sousa with historical authenticity.
