L'Altra, an American indie rock/electronic band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1999 with original members Ken Dyber, Eben English, Lindsay Anderson, and Joseph Desler Costa. The band released their debut EP L'Altra in 1999 through Aesthetics Records followed by their debut album Music of a Sinking Occasion in 2000 and In the Afternoon in 2002. By 2005, Eben English and Ken Dyber had left the band, and L'Altra continued as a songwriting duo with Anderson and Costa, releasing In The Afternoon (2002). Later, they moved to Hefty Records and released Different Days, produced by Joshua Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv, in 2005. L'Altra then moved to the Spanish label Acuarela and released their fourth studio album, Telepathic, in 2011.
