The Overseer, a Christian metal band originating from Bentonville, Arkansas, was formed in 2007. The group initially released an independent EP titled The Overseer in 2010. In January 2012, they signed with Solid State Records and released their debut studio album We Search, We Dig. Their second studio LP, Rest and Let Go, was released in 2014, and charted at numbers 44 and 47 on the Billboard Christian Albums and Heatseeker Albums charts for the week of March 22, 2014. The song "Fragile Wings" from this album peaked at number 14 on the Christian Rock chart for the week of April 19, 2014. Members of The Overseer have been involved in various side projects, including Darren King with Project 86 and Abishai Collingsworth with Wolves at the Gate.
