Clare Hammond, born in 1985 in Nottingham, England, is a British concert pianist. She earned a double first in music at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and continued her studies with Ronan O'Hora at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Hammond obtained a Doctor of Musical Arts from City University London, focusing on 20th-century piano concertos commissioned by Paul Wittgenstein. Hammond's career includes performances across Europe and collaborations with notable artists such as the Brodsky Quartet, Henning Kraggerud, and Jennifer Pike. In 2016, she received the Young Artist Award from the Royal Philharmonic Society. Her discography features albums like Reflections (2014), with piano works by Andrzej and Roxanna Panufnik, and Étude (2015), which includes works by Unsuk Chin, Nikolai Kapustin and Karol Szymanowski. She continued to record for the BIS Records label, notably the albums Kenneth Hesketh: Horae (Pro Clara) (2016), Josef Mysliveček: Complete Music for Keyboard with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra and Nicholas McGegan (2019), Variations (2021), and Hélène de Montgeroult: Études (2022). Other albums recorded for Toccata Classics include Robert Saxton: Piano Music (2018), and Adam Gorb: Piano Music (2022). In 2025, she released Tippett - Britten - Walton, recorded with the BBC Symphony Orchestrad conducted by George Vass.
