Sorrowful Angels, a Greek gothic metal band, was formed in 1999 and gained early traction in the Greek underground club scene. They landed notable gigs such as the Chania Rock Festival in Crete alongside bands like Anathema and U.D.O.. In 2008, after a hiatus, Sorrowful Angels reunited with a new lineup and signed with Sleaszy Rider Records, releasing their debut album Ship In Your Trip in 2009. The band performed at the Scorpions Contest Finals in Greece that same year. In 2010, they parted ways with Sleaszy Rider Records and continued independently, opening for acts like Katatonia and Rotting Christ. Their second album Omens was released in 2012 by Warner Music Group.
