Éric Toulis (born 20th century) is a French chanson française singer, songwriter, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist. Toulis co-founded the group Les Escrocs in 1994, contributing to the albums Faites-vous des Amis (1994), C'est Dimanche (1997), and Le Bal des Vilains (2000). Subsequent group recordings include the album Six pieds sur Terre (2003) and the 2018 release Super-héros. Toulis began a solo career in 2000 with the album Soyons Bref. Other solo studio recordings include Soyons Classe (2006) and Centrale Vapeur (2012). Toulis is characterized by a performance style that incorporates elements of humor and clowning into his songwriting. In 2016, Toulis appeared on the Les Escrocs compilation Plages Privées, which featured remastered tracks and previously unreleased material. Toulis has performed extensively as both a solo artist and a group member since 1994.
