Die 3 Besoffskis, a German comedy schlager group known for their boisterous drinking and party songs, were formed in Baden-Baden by Helmut Flohr, also known as Joe Raphael. Flohr had released several singles under his pseudonym in the 1960s before founding the label Juventus in 1970. The success of the song "Scheißegal", performed by the duo of Flohr and Georg Manning, established the blueprint for the group's style and led to the formation of Die 3 Besoffskis with the addition of Horst Götze. Their debut single "Ein schöner weißer Arsch" (1974) and subsequent hits like "Puff von Barcelona" (1975) established them as pioneers in the genre that would later be known as Ballermann-Musik. Internal disputes led to Manning's departure in the early 1980s, effectively ending the group. Flohr passed away in 2009.
