Oreskaband is a Japanese all‑female ska group formed in Sakai, Osaka, in 2003 by members Ikasu, Hayami, Tae, and others, all of whom were middle‑school students at the time. The band emerged from the local scene as Oretachi Kasukasu Lawson Ska Band with Cutter Shirts, later abbreviated to Oreskaband, and self‑produced the independent album Penpal in 2005. Their major debut arrived with the EP Ore on 19 July 2006, followed by the single "Almond" on 1 November 2006; the same year they appeared on the Fuji Rock Festival, drawing a record crowd of 1,000 for a new act. In 2007, they released WAO!!, toured the United States as part of the Japan Nite tour, and their track "Tsumasaki" became the 11th ending theme for the anime Bleach. The group signed to Sony Music in 2006, later moving to Victor Music Arts in 2014 with the release of Carry On! Subsequent albums included Color (2010), Hot Number (2013), Slogan (2016), and Bohemia (2022). Notable collaborations feature Mayu Watanabe’s "Rappa Renshūchū" (2013) and the 2022 single "Survivor" with Rioka Kanda. The band has performed internationally, including the Vans Warped Tour, Anime Expo, and a 2017 European tour.
