Miguel José Cantilo, born November 5, 1949, in Buenos Aires, is an Argentine rock and roll and folk rock singer and composer. Cantilo debuted professionally at age 15 and appeared on the television program Telenoche in 1965. In 1968, he formed the acoustic duo Pedro y Pablo with Jorge Durietz, releasing the single “Yo vivo en esta ciudad” in 1969. The duo won the Festival Nacional de Música Beat in 1970 with the song “La marcha de la bronca”. Cantilo released his first solo album, Miguel Cantilo y Grupo Sur, in 1975. After moving to Spain in 1977, he formed the group Punch, releasing the album A dondequiera que voy (1980). Returning to Argentina, Cantilo released the solo album Unidad (1983). He received Premio Konex awards in 1985, 2005, and 2015, and was named a Personalidad Destacada of Buenos Aires in 2023. His 2025 discography includes the album Soto: homenaje a la Patagonia Rebelde.
