Zoff, a band from Iserlohn, Germany, was founded in 1979 by Reiner Hänsch. The group won the prize for best rock group at the Jazz Bilzen Festival in Belgium that same year. In 1980, Zoff was awarded as the best up-and-coming rock band by the German Phono Academy and signed with Ralph Siegel's label Jupiter-Records. Their first professional recordings were produced for the WDR series "WDR Rockstudio." The single "Kein Geld, kein Money" reached Number 1 on the German pop charts. Throughout the 1980s, Zoff released several albums and singles, including Zoff (1980) and "Sauerland" (1983), which became a notable hit and is the official anthem of the Iserlohn Roosters ice hockey team. The band disbanded in 1984 but reunited in 2003, releasing albums such as Alles beim Alten (2003) and Mehr Vom Alten (2008).
