Rhytm Police, an indietronic band from Germany, was formed in 2007 by Leo Hopfinger and Tom Simonetti. The duo met in 2001 at a local event series called Beatznbytez and initially played together in the improvisational band Mongkong. After several years of performing as part of various projects, they reunited to create Rhytm Police. Their debut album Turbo Bells was released on December 12, 2008, produced with Christian Heiß and mixed at Portmanteau Studio München, and was notably named Album of the Week by Zündfunk in January 2009. Rhytm Police performed extensively across Germany, Austria, Italy, and Russia. On October 31, 2013, the band released Debaser under the label In Gute Hände.
