Chevere ElNegron is a Uruguayan plena singer and writer from Montevideo’s barrio Cadorna whose early recordings blended streetwise rap phrasing with the bounce and brass-driven swing of modern plena. He first appeared on record in 2022 on the collaboration “Caemos Pa La Disco” featuring 97Liga, Aberolau & Negrito Pierre, then continued in 2023 through remix appearances such as “No Vengo a Competir (Remix)” and “Tu Mirada (Remix).” In 2024, he added another feature with “Sin Berre” with Rena.lacolo. His breakthrough year came in 2025, when he and his circle turned “Se Vive” into a public statement against football violence: after a short performance clip circulated online, producer Lucas Bunnker (Bunnker Recordz) brought the idea into a plena version credited to Chevere ElNegron alongside Los Gurises del Cadorna, and the finished video included cameos from well-known Uruguayan athletes. He kept that momentum with a run of singles tied closely to the same scene—“La Cachimba,” “Desde Cero,” and “Sube La Fe” with Ulises Baby—and also appeared on “Anti Cheto” with El Cuatro Seis. In early 2026, he pushed into a more party-forward lane with “Pa Bailar” with Juanjo Morgade and Lucas Bunnker and released “Chévere” with Rey Julian and Lucas Bunnker, continuing a catalog rooted in barrio storytelling and dance-floor plena.
