Canadian folk rock band Crash Vegas formed in 1988, originating from Toronto's vibrant Queen Street West music scene. The group was founded by Michelle McAdorey and Greg Keelor of Blue Rodeo, who were also in a romantic relationship at the time. Their first performance took place at The Cameron House in Toronto, followed by opening shows for Blue Rodeo. In 1989, Crash Vegas signed with Risque Disque and released their debut album Red Earth in July 1990. The album featured notable hits on Canadian radio such as "Inside Out", "Sky" and "Smoke". In 1992, the band signed a new deal with London/Polygram and released their second album Stone, which included contributions from John Porter and Butch Vig. Their third and final album Aurora was released in 1995, featuring the single "On And On (Lodestar)". The band broke up in 1997.
