Tanlines, an American electronic music and indie rock duo from Brooklyn, New York, was formed in 2008 by percussionist Jesse Cohen and guitarist/vocalist Eric Emm. The group's early work included producing a song for Cohen's band Professor Murder and releasing their first EP, Settings, in 2010. Their debut album, Mixed Emotions, released in 2012, reached number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and featured the track "All of Me", named by Rolling Stone as the 43rd best song of 2012. Tanlines collaborated with various artists, including Julian Casablancas and Vampire Weekend, and released Highlights in 2015. Their album, The Big Mess, was released in 2023.
