Phil Kieran, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a DJ and electronic music producer who began performing in local clubs at age nineteen. His first solo release, RIP, appeared in 2000 on Trama Industries, and he followed with the "My House" single in 2002, which established his presence in the house scene. Over the next decade he issued a steady stream of singles and EPs, including "Juicy" (2005), and released his debut album Shh in 2009 on Cocoon Recordings. Subsequent albums Blinded by the Sun (2016) and Life Cycling (2019) expanded his catalogue. Kieran has collaborated with artists such as Green Velvet, Speedy J, and the band Alloy Mental, for whom he produced the 2007 album We Have Control. He has performed at major clubs worldwide, including Berghain, Fabric, and Zouk, and has toured festivals such as ADE and Glastonbury. His work has earned a BBC Hot Press award for Best Dance Act in 2002 and appearances on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mixes. Kieran’s compositions have been synchronised to film and television, notably scoring the BBC documentary The Northern Bank Job: Unexpected Visitors (2021) and the feature film Nightride (2021).
