Cass & Slide is a British electronic music duo formed in England by Cass Cutbush and Peter Martin. The pair emerged in the late 1990s, when Cass Cutbush co‑founded the Fire label with Lee Burridge in 2000, providing a platform for their early releases. Their first EP, Opera, appeared in 2000, followed by the album It’s Electric on 16 May 2000 and the single "Fever Rising" in 2001, establishing their presence in the trance scene. In 2007, the single "Lost Life" was issued on Fire 999, while the track "Perception" gained wider exposure through inclusion on Tiësto’s In Search of Sunrise 2 compilation and a 2010 cover by Markus Schulz featuring Justine Suissa. Cass & Slide performed on BBC Radio 1’s The Essential Mix on 23 December 2001.
