Voom, a New Zealand indie pop band based in Auckland, was formed in 1993 with an original lineup consisting of Buzz Moller, Danny Manetto, and Mac Macaskill. The group released their debut album, Now I Am Me, in 1998. By the time of their second album, Hello, Are You There? (2006), both Manetto and Macaskill had left the band, leaving Moller as the sole original member. Voom became a staple on Auckland campus radio with hits such as "Beth", "Relax", and "Be Your Boy". The band's later lineup included Moller, Nick Buckton, Murray Fisher, and Josh Sorenson. They released music through Lil' Chief Records and Flying Nun Records. Their third album, Something Good Is Happening, was released in 2025. Macaskill died on September 13, 2012.
