Ratata was a Swedish pop band formed in Stockholm in 1980 by Mauro Scocco, Heinz Liljedahl, Anders Skog, and Johan Kling. The group's name, which translates to "rat-tat-tat," was chosen for its allusion to machine gun fire. Their debut single "För varje dag" was released in 1981, followed by a second single "Ögon av is" and their self-titled debut album Ratata in 1982. The band's lineup changed frequently; Johan Ekelund joined in 1982 after Kling left, and the group continued as a duo until 1989, when Liljedahl and Skog also departed. Scocco and Ekelund released several successful albums, including Jackie, Äventyr, Paradis, Sent i september, and Människor under molnen. The duo had a brief comeback in 2002 with the single "Honung" and the compilation album Kollektion. Throughout their career, Ratata achieved significant chart success in Sweden, earning multiple gold certifications for their albums and singles.
