Francesco Maria Tricarico is an Italian singer-songwriter born on February 1, 1971, in Milan. He began his music career in 2000 with the release of the single “Io sono Francesco”, which reached Number 1 in Italy and sold more than 60,000 copies. His eponymous debut studio recording, Tricarico, appeared in 2002. After releasing the album Frescobaldo nel recinto (2004), he recorded the song “Solo per te” for the film I Love You in Every Language in the World, which received a nomination for the Nastro d'Argento for Best Original Song. Tricarico performed at the Sanremo Music Festival in 2008 with the track “Vita tranquilla”, receiving the Critics' Award “Mia Martini”. The song was included on his third album, Giglio. He returned to Sanremo in 2009 with the song “Il Bosco delle fragole” and in 2011 with “Tre colori”. His discography included the compilation Il fantastico mondo di Francesco Tricarico (2009) and the studio recordings L'imbarazzo (2011) and Invulnerabile (2013).
