My passion is music! Since I was a baby, I loved to sing. It was not until AR Rahman gave me a chance to sing with him for Slumdog Millionaire did I believe that I would become a professional singer. That seemed like a long time ago. I have had an amazing 10 years working with AR, Timbaland, Weezer, Ozomotli, Brody Brown and many other amazing producers. I put together a sampling of the some of the material I am working on, and some of the past albums. This new chapter is about bringing Bengali music from the past into a new area of world music, using the sounds that influence me from modern contemporary artists, but reflecting on the beautiful lyrics of old Bengal.
