William Control is an American music project founded in 2008 by William Francis and referred to both the band and as his stage name. In 2008, he released Hate Culture, which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Electronic Albums chart. The album's single "Beautiful Loser" was accompanied by a video, and William Control toured with Escape the Fate in late 2008. In 2010, William Control released Noir and left Victory Records to found his own label, Control Records. In 2011, the EP Novus Ordo Seclorum was released, followed by the full-length album Silentium Amoris in 2012. He supported the Birthday Massacre on their American tour and headlined the New Faith Tour in June 2012. In October 2017, William Control announced his retirement from music to focus on his clothing businesses and Control Records. In 2023, he released the album Sex Cult.
