Randy Holden is an American hard rock and acid rock guitarist and singer born on July 2, 1945, in Pennsylvania. He began his career in 1959, performing with the Iridescents and The Fender IV before the latter group relocated to Southern California and became The Sons of Adam. In 1968, Holden joined Blue Cheer, contributing the songs “Peace of Mind”, “Fruits & Icebergs”, and “Honey Butter Love” to the 1969 album New! Improved!. Holden then formed Randy Holden – Population II with drummer Chris Lockheed, releasing the album Population II in 1970. After leaving the music industry for over twenty years, Holden resumed activity in 1993. His solo discography includes Guitar God (1997), Raptor (2007), and Population III (2022). Additionally, Holden collaborated with opera singer Jaclyn Guthrie on the 2010 project Visions of You.
