Arndís Halla Ásgeirsdóttir, known as Arndis Halla, was born on December 9, 1969, in Iceland. She grew up near Reykjavík and began performing at the National Theatre of Iceland during her teenage years. In 1994, she moved to Berlin to study classical singing at the Hochschule der Künste. From 1998 to 2000, Arndis Halla was a soloist at the Komische Oper Berlin. She gained international recognition for her role as the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute. In 2007, she opened the Venice Film Festival and has performed notable roles such as Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Iceland Opera and the title role in Evita. She released four albums: Óður (2007), Edda (2008), Keep on Walking (2012), and Ístónar (2014). In 2012, Arndis Halla returned to Iceland, where she continues her career as a singer and songwriter.
