Craig Dougall McLachlan, born on 1 September 1965 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is a singer and actor. He began his music career with the release of "Rock The Rock" in 1989, followed by his debut album Craig McLachlan & Check 1-2, establishing him as a pop-rock artist. In 1990, he released the single "Amanda", which gained significant attention and marked his breakthrough in the music industry. This was followed by his second studio album One Reason Why (1991) and On My Own (1992), both of which further solidified his presence in the pop-rock genre. His music career includes notable collaborations such as his duet with Deborah Gibson on "You're The One That I Want" in 1993, and his appearance in the London production of Grease. His other albums include Everyday (1995) and several singles like "Hear The World Cry" (1996). In addition to his singing career, he is also known for his acting roles, notably in the Australian television series Neighbours, where he played Henry Ramsay from 1987 to 1989.
