Bianca Shomburg, born on 17 September 1974 in Hiddenhausen, North Rhine‑Westphalia, Germany, is a German pop singer who first entered the public eye through the European television talent show Soundmix. The exposure led to a recording contract with producer Harold Faltermeyer, and she released her debut single "I Believe In Love" in 1996. In 1997, Bianca Shomburg entered the German national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the Ralph Siegel‑composed "Zeit", which won the national contest and represented Germany at the 42nd Eurovision event in Dublin on 3 May; the entry finished 18th out of 25. The same year she issued her only English‑language album, It’s My Time, which failed to achieve commercial success. Following her Eurovision appearance, Bianca Shomburg’s visibility declined; she later appeared as a vocal coach on the television show Deutschland sucht den Superstar and, since 2008, has worked with the rock group Nashfield.
