Josep Cabré, a Spanish bass-baritone specializing in Baroque repertoire, began his career in 1985 with performances including "Motet for the Offertory of the Red Mass" and "Miserere H.219" by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. In 1990, Cabré co-founded the vocal ensemble La Colombina, focusing on Renaissance and Baroque music. With La Colombina, he recorded notable works such as "Office of Tenebrae for Holy Week" by François Couperin in 1993. Cabré's contributions as both a singer and conductor are documented on several albums, including Jean-Jacques Beauvarlet Charpentier : Messe en Ré Mineur.
