The Insect Trust was an American jazz-based rock band formed in New York City in 1967. The group included Nancy Jeffries, Bill Barth, Luke Faust, Trevor Koehler, and Robert Palmer. They released their debut album The Insect Trust in 1968, followed by Hoboken Saturday Night in 1970. Their music combined elements of jazz, rock, folk, and pop, with session contributions from drummers Elvin Jones and Bernard Purdie. The band disbanded in 1970. Afterward, Robert Palmer became a music journalist and historian, while Nancy Jeffries worked in executive roles within the recording industry.
