Of Polish descent on his father's side, rapper PLK (for Polak, another of his aliases) was born Mathieu Pruski on April 15, 1997 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Initially a member of the groups Panama Bende and then La Confrérie, he went solo in 2015. That year, he released the Peur de me Tromper EP , followed by Dedans the following year. His mixtapes Ténébreux (2017) and Platinum (2018) helped him make a name for himself, before the consecration that came with the album Polak released in October 2018. Helped by the streaming performances of the tracks "Hier" and "Dingue", Polak reached platinum status in August 2019, selling 100,000 copies. But the artist quickly continued his production and unveiled a new mixtape, Mental, in September, during which he didn't hesitate to showcase new talent. On this mixtape, we meet Timal, Tessa B and Aladin 135. In 2020, PLK released a new album, Enna, on which he invited fellow artists such as Heuss l'Enfoiré, Hamza, Rim'K and Niska, with whom he recorded the duet "On sait jamais". A reissue of the album was released in November 2021, following his participation in the Classico Organisé collective project. In 2023, he released an EP, 2069', conceived in an innovative way, since the rapper called on his fans for every decision at different stages of conception, via polls organized on a platform for a fee. Dinos and Kerchak are guest stars on the album. In 2024, he releases an ambitious project: a three-part mixtape unveiled over three weeks: Chambre 140 (Part. 1, 2, 3). Gazo, Hamza, Jul and Vacra take part as guests. PLK went straight to number one in France with his third album , Grand Garçon, released in March 2026.
