Edin Osmić, known professionally as Edo Maajka, was born on December 22, 1978, in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He started his hip-hop career in high school, engaging in rap battles and recording demo tracks. Maajka's breakthrough came with the singles "Minimalni rizik" and "Mahir i Alma", which were top hits on Zagreb's Radio 101. Maajka released his debut album Slušaj mater in 2002, followed by No sikiriki in 2004. His third studio album Stig'o ćumur was released in 2006 and featured the single "To mora da je ljubav". In 2010, he released his best-off album Spomen ploča 2002-2009. Maajka's music was featured internationally, including his single "Bomba" on the TV series Sleeper Cell, and he toured North America in 2005.
