Kai Ko, born Ko Chia-kai on June 18, 1991, in Taiwan, is a singer and actor. He gained prominence with his role in You Are the Apple of My Eye (2011), which earned him Best New Actor at both the 48th Golden Horse Awards and the 12th Chinese Film Media Awards. That same year, he released his debut studio album, Be Yourself, featuring notable tracks such as "Qing Rang Wo Jixu Xihuan Ni" ("Please Let Me Continue to Like You") and "You Hua Zhi Shuo" ("Just Say It"). Ko's career faced a setback in 2014 when he was arrested for marijuana use, leading to a ban in mainland China. Despite this, he returned to acting with The Road to Mandalay (2016).
