Sabú, born Héctor Jorge Ruiz on September 12, 1951, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was an Argentine singer, songwriter, and actor. He released the albums El mundo que inventamos and Sabu in 1971, and acted in films such as Vuelvo a vivir... vuelvo a cantar (1971), El mundo que inventamos (1973), and La aventura de vivir (1975). He recorded several songs, including "Él o yo", "He tratado de olvidarte", "Quizás sí, quizás no", and "Pequeña y frágil". Throughout his career, he released further albums, such as Mon Amour... (1974), Por siempre Sabu (1976), Canción de amor (1977), Sabú (1981), Sus grandes éxitos (1982), Compañera mía (1982), and Después de ti (1991). He died on October 16, 2005, in Mexico City.
