Elias Elton Dummer is a Canadian musician and songwriter born on March 3, 1983, in Hamilton, Ontario. He began his career as a songwriter in 2005 with the pieces “Honestly” and “Do You Hear the Sound” under Spring Hill Worship. In 2009, Dummer co-founded the contemporary Christian band the City Harmonic, serving as the lead singer and pianist. The ensemble released the debut EP Introducing the City Harmonic in 2010 and achieved success with the song “Manifesto”, which served as the theme for the 2011 National Day of Prayer. After the group disbanded in 2017, Dummer moved to Tennessee and launched a solo career. He released his debut solo album, The Work Vol. 1, on February 8, 2019, featuring the single “Enough”, which spent twenty-six weeks on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. Dummer followed this with the 2022 album The Work Vol. 2. He has received a Juno Award, fifteen Covenant Awards, and a Dove Award nomination.
