Nils-Börge Gårdh is a Swedish Christian singer and businessman born on February 20, 1946, in Stockholm. He began his recording career in the mid-1960s and released his self-titled debut studio album in 1970. Throughout the 1970s, Gårdh issued several records, including the 1975 album En sång om glädje and En julhälsning från Nils-Börge Gårdh in 1978. He achieved significant commercial success in 1982 with the solo hit “Jag längtar bort”, which reached number 2 on the Svensktoppen chart and remained in the top ten for ten weeks. His discography continued with the 1983 release I herrens händer. In addition to his musical endeavors, Gårdh has been extensively involved with the Star of Hope charity organization, leading fundraising and sponsorship efforts for children in need. His later work includes the 2001 holiday album Jul, jul strålande jul.
