Lookin' for my trident...
My name is El Mahdi Aboulmanadel, I'm from Sidi Bennour, The Kingdom of Morocco and I sign my work under the artist name Mahdi.
I'm an artist, singer, producer, sound engineer, IT engineer and entrepreneur.
I find inspiration in many places but mostly in Sidi Bouzid which has influenced my creative style and process. I don't create art, art makes me create it. You can say it comes unintentionally!
I love dabbling with different styles to experiment, but to really flourish as an artist, I sometimes focus on a style or two that I feel really allowed to express my inner vision. I have paused too long because I expect perfection of myself even though I know it is an impossible standard. Our art will never be perfect in form, but the emotions it causes in those who listens or view it is what really matters. Having others catch the same vision and ride the same tide of emotions that we feel when producing our work is the goal – not perfection.
My circle is so tight but I luckily have a supportive family and some real friends who been there for me since the beginning. I have been creating art for 6 years. My favorite artist is Kung fu kenny and I find him one of the hardest working human beings I've ever encountered, from taking pictures with fans to showing up places on time, his work ethic is a major part of why he's one of the most successful artists ever!
