Ahmet Özhan is a Turkish singer of classical and Sufi music born on 26 August 1950 in Urfa. He achieved professional recognition after receiving classical vocal training at the Istanbul Conservatory in 1967. In 1987, he participated in the Turkish pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the track “Gülümse Biraz” (1987). He was appointed director of the Chorus for Historical Istanbul Music in 1991 and received the title of State Artist in 1998. His recording career includes the studio recordings Güneşin Battığı Yerde (1981), Ömrümüzün Baharı (1985), and Yüzyılın Şarkıları (2007). As a member of the State Ensemble for Classical Turkish Music, he has toured extensively across Europe and Asia. His discography includes the tracks “Seni Aşksız Bırakmam” and “Şu Benim Divane Gönlüm”. Özhan has received multiple Altın Kelebek Awards for best singer of Turkish art music.
