Die Regierung are a German rock band from Essen formed in 1982 by Tilman Rossmy. Originally established as a solo project, the ensemble released the debut studio album, Supermüll (1984). After resuming activity in 1990, they released the studio recording So allein (1990), which was produced by Alfred Hilsberg. Their recording career includes the studio albums So drauf (1992) and Unten (1994). The track “Loswerden” (1992) was subsequently covered by groups including Lassie Singers and The Walkabouts. The ensemble disbanded in 1995 but performed reunion concerts in 2006. After returning in 2017, they issued the studio recording Raus (2017). Their discography includes the studio albums Was (2019), Da (2021), and Nur die Regierung (2023).
