Peter Weniger, born on October 30, 1964, in Hamburg, Germany, is a German jazz musician. He began his musical journey on the clarinet before transitioning to the saxophone and enrolled in the "Popularmusik" program at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg after graduating from high school. Weniger's career took off when he joined the Bundesjazzorchester in 1987 and later became a member of the SDR Big Band in Stuttgart in 1993. He released the album Legal Paradizer in 2003, preceded by several other notable works including "Tip Tap" (1996), which earned him the Quartals-Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and followed by Point of Departure (2016) and Gravity (2023).
