Throughout the 1990s and 2000s he released Cinema (1992), Field Notes (2000), Live from Montana (2001), and Blue West (2005), each showcasing his blend of jazz improvisation with folk textures. The 2010s saw High Plains Christmas (2013), Tuli Wamu with Kinobe (2012) and Versatile (2017), adding holiday and experimental layers. Philip Aaberg toured extensively across North America, collaborating with regional jazz ensembles.
