TV Allstars was a German pop group formed as a charitable project during the Christmas season of 2003. The ensemble consisted of several popular German singers who had gained fame through various casting shows, including Popstars, Deutschland sucht den Superstar, and Star Search. Their debut release was a cover of Band Aid's "Do They Know It’s Christmas?" from 1985, which they included on their first album, The Ultimate Christmas Album. The project aimed to raise funds for SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit, with a portion of the proceeds going towards this charity. In 2004, both the single and the album were certified Gold in Germany, signifying sales of over 250,000 units each. Notable participants included No Angels, Bro'Sis, Preluders, Overground, Jessica Wahls, Martin Kesici, Thomas Wohlfahrt, Michael Wurst, Nektarios Bamiatzis, Fabrizio Levita, Stefanie Krämer, Daniel Siegert, Lil’O, and Senta-Sofia Delliponti. The group's impact was significant during their brief tenure, contributing to charitable causes while showcasing the talents of Germany's rising pop stars. The success of The Ultimate Christmas Album highlighted the collaborative spirit within the German music industry, bringing together artists from different backgrounds to support a common cause. This album not only featured the popular cover of "Do They Know It’s Christmas?", but also included other festive tracks that resonated with audiences during the holiday season.
