Mainy is a French singer from Martinique with Senegalese roots. The son of a percussionist and a dancer, he was introduced to music at an early age, from traditional Afro-Caribbean music to jazz, reggae, raggamuffin and rap. In 2006, he released the album Ma Cool l'Heure, a blend of zouk, biguine and dancehall. He gradually established himself on the Caribbean scene with tracks like "18 sous les tropiques", featured on the Body Love Sex compilation, and collaborations with Ludo, Ali Angel, Nichols, K-Reen, Patrick Andrey and Dominique Lorte. In 2013, Mainy set up his own label and began producing artists including Mel's, Myldness and Dory, before releasing the album Evolution in 2018, followed by Mr Touch in 2022. In 2026, he scored a hit with "Hold Up", a collaboration with Colette Gaze that reached No. 39 in the Top 60 Outre-Mer Songs.
