Swear and Shake was an American indie folk band formed in 2010 in Brooklyn, New York. The group consisted of Kari Spieler (vocals, lyrics, guitar), Adam McHeffey (vocals, lyrics, guitar, banjo), and Shaun Savage (electric bass). Their debut release was the extended play Extended Play in 2010, followed by their first single "For Better, For Worse" in 2011. The band's breakthrough came with their debut album Maple Ridge, released in 2012, which gained attention from notable independent music blogs and was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign. In November 2014, Swear and Shake relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. Their subsequent albums included Ain't That Lovin' (2014) and The Sound of Letting Go (2017). On November 23, 2017, Swear and Shake announced their breakup via social media after seven years as a band.
