Ferenc Aszódy (Ferenc Aszódi), born on August 6, 1929, in Budapest, Hungary, was a trumpeter known for his work in jazz and popular music. He began playing the trumpet at age ten and studied at the Franz-Liszt-Musikakademie in Budapest. After World War II, Aszódy emigrated to West Germany in 1956, becoming the first trumpeter for Max Greger's orchestra, and founded his own jazz band. From 1970 to 1979, he played with the Südwestfunk-Tanzorchester under Rolf-Hans Müller. He also collaborated with notable musicians such as Werner Baumgart and Kurt Edelhagen. Aszódy was a key member of the Original Egerländer Musikanten led by Ernst Mosch from 1979 onwards and composed music for television, including "Jumping Balls". He released his own album Trompeten-Impressionen in 1980. Aszódy passed away on July 2, 2005, during a visit to his son in Los Angeles.
