Deize Maria Gonçalves da Silva, known professionally as Deize Tigrona, and born on August 2, 1979, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a funk carioca singer. She worked as a house cleaner before gaining recognition as a singer. Her breakthrough came with the song "Injeção", which was later sampled by MIA for her single "Bucky Done Gun" and was included in the compilation Slum Dunk Presents Funk Carioca (2005), compiled by Bruno Verner & Eliete Mejorado for Mr Bongo Records. Deize Tigrona has collaborated with notable artists such as Tati Quebra Barraco and British dance producer Greymatter.
