Honeymunch is a German electronic music and jazz group formed in Düsseldorf in 2001. The band began performing locally at venues such as Coffy in Düsseldorf and, in 2002, received an invitation to participate in the “Wildcard” event at Stadtgarten Köln. Their debut album, Solon, was released in April 2003 on Irma Records. A track from the album was later featured in the television series Sex and the City. In 2002, Honeymunch placed first in the band competition at the Europhonics Jazzfestival in Dortmund. Around the same period, keyboardist Ralf Stritt was included in a personal ranking by Arnaldo DeSouteiro, a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, in his selection of notable jazz musicians. After the death of guitarist Ulf Gronen in 2007, the band became less active. In 2011, Honeymunch released their third album, New Destination. The band returned with the album Kaleidoscope in August 2021, released on Irma Records.
