Jesús "Chucho" Sanoja Rivero was born on September 26, 1926 in Caracas, Venezuela. He began his career as a self-taught musician before studying under Benito Canónico and later became the pianist for the dance orchestra Los Hermanos Belisario. In the 1940s, he worked at Radio Libertador and Radio Tropical, learning from broadcasting pioneer Luis Bello Raymondi. Sanoja formed his own orchestra in 1951 with notable musicians such as Nelson Pinedo and Manolo Monterrey. As a composer and arranger, he was known for titles like "Campesinita" and "Maracaibo". His career spanned decades, and in 1997, he released the album Grandes éxitos bailables. Sanoja received the Andrés Bello Order and the Medal of Merit from the Venezuelan Society of Authors and Composers. He passed away on December 11, 1998.
