Cryoshell, a Danish rock band from Copenhagen, was formed in 2006, consisting of Christine Lorentzen on lead vocals, Kasper Søderlund on guitar and bass, and Mikkel Maltha on keyboards. Their breakthrough came with the song "Creeping in My Soul" (2009), commissioned by a toy company for their Bionicle toy series, which became one of the most downloaded MP3 songs from their website. The band released their self-titled debut album Cryoshell on June 7, 2010, following the success of singles like "Bye Bye Babylon" (2009) and "Creeping in My Soul" (2009). Lorentzen took maternity leave from November 2011 to October 2013. In February 2015, Cryoshell began working on their second studio album Next to Machines, releasing singles such as "Nature Girl" (2018) and "Don't Look Down" (2018).
